  • 68th Reunion coming up on Friday, August 7, 2026

    The Class of ’58 will meet in the Fellowship Hall of the Scottsburg United Methodist Church on Friday, August 7, 2026, at noon. This is the same site as our last three Reunions. Bring your lunch – there are many drive-thrus on the way to the church – or just stop in for cake. No program. No tensions. No group boundaries from seven decades ago. Just old… yes, we’re old!   • Everitt reunion held in Michigan in August

    Tom Everitt spent a great week with his extended family at a family reunion in early August 2025. His daughters and their families, along with his two brothers, Ed and Jim, and many of their family members, met in St. Clair, Michigan, at the home of Tom’s granddaughter, Erin French, and her husband Will. On Saturday, other friends joined in for an afternoon of talk, laughter, memories, and euchre. It was great to get to spend so much time with his daughters, Doreen Kephart and Stephanie Everitt-Kirkbride, and their kids and friends. A group photo from the reunion is below.…

    We’re sad to report that Betty Sue (Surber) Mosier passed away on Monday, July 21. A funeral service was held on July 29 in Scottsburg. Here’s her obituary: Betty Sue Mosier, 86, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2025. She was born on June 8, 1939, in Scottsburg, Indiana to the late Earl and Olive (Hardy) Surber, Betty was a lifelong resident of the area and a graduate of Scottsburg High School in the class of 1958.   • Larry & Carol Weir celebrate their “compleanni” in Italy

    Last year, my wife Carol and I hiked Mount LeConte in the Tennessee Smokies. This year, our adventure took us to Italy to celebrate our birthdays. Together we are celebrating 155 lives of life. We travelled to Rome & then to Sardinia, the second-largest island in the Mediterranean Sea after Sicily. Sardinia is one of the “Blue Zones” and we wanted to experience first hand what we had read about the longevity of the Sardinians.
